6.2: Splitting footage

LifeFlix v4.2.5 can quickly split existing scenes into new scenes. The playback monitor will display the footage of any selected scene and be accompanied by a timeline.

Move the playhead marker from your timeline to the position you’d like to make a split point, then click the right click and select “Split” or click the split icon. 

Once your footage splits, you should now have two new scenes available, one that ends at the split point and another that begins at the split point

If you’d like to revert the changes done by the split, click the “Edit” option at the top of and select “Undo Split”.

Note: Splitting will append a -[1.1]- suffix to denote that it is a scene that originated from a split. Consecutive splits will add additional notations for each iteration (e.g. -[1.1.1]-, -[1.1.1.1]-).
